I recently enjoyed an incredible experience aboard the Celebrity Reflection, sailing from Fort Lauderdale to Coco Cay and Bimini, before returning. Our stay in the luxurious AquaClass staterooms was fantastic, and access to the Persian Garden spa added a whole new level of relaxation. This serene spa area, with its heated tile loungers and steam rooms, made for a perfect escape between shore excursions.
One of the highlights of our AquaClass experience was dining at Blu Restaurant aboard the Celebrity Reflection, offering healthier, delicious meals with a Mediterranean touch. It was refreshing to have that option, though we could still order from the main dining menu when indulgence called. We also attended a Mixology class at the World Class Bar in the Celebrity Reflection, which was both fun and informative. Learning to craft cocktails was a great way to enhance our onboard experience!
Bimini, Bahamas
The cruise was full of unique adventures. At Bimini, part of the breathtaking Bahamas, we had a wonderful time kayaking. The tour guides were not only informative but also engaging, making the kayaking experience in Bimini even more enjoyable. Don’t forget sunscreen like I did! Back on the Celebrity Reflection, we participated in the silent disco—something I wasn’t sure about at first, but after putting on the headphones, I quickly realized how much fun it actually was. It’s a must-try for anyone sailing with Celebrity Cruises!
Perfect Day at Coco Cay
Our adventures in Perfect Day at Coco Cay began with a quirky and delightful excursion — swimming with pigs!
It was one of the most unforgettable experiences from our trip. These friendly pigs, each looked after meticulously, thrived on the self-sustaining Coco Cay island.
The staff knew each pig by name and personality. We had plenty of time with these lovely creatures, both in the warm azure waters and onshore.
Cradling an adorable two-week-old piglet was a highlight of this Coco Cay itinerary!
This experience is something we’ll talk always want to talk about for years to come!
Coco Cay itself was a paradise on Earth. We lounged on large floats in the crystal-clear waters of the pool while vibrant fish danced around us. The buffet at Coco Cay was a haven of flavors, especially with its extensive taco bar. Entertainment flowed freely throughout the day with plenty of amenities — clean, accessible bathrooms, numerous bars, live musical performances, a swim-up bar, and an active sports zone featuring basketball, volleyball, giant chess, and pool tables. A delightful swim-out bar beckoned us with its warm and refreshing waters—a true testament that a perfect day in Coco Cay is indeed achievable!
Last, but not least, the accommodations, our balcony stateroom was not only comfortable but surprisingly spacious, especially the shower, which was one of the largest I’ve experienced on a cruise of this level. We were also lucky enough to witness a magical moment when a school of dolphins swam alongside the ship as we left Bimini and had just popped open the complimentary bottle of champagne. They stayed with us for miles, jumping and playing —truly breathtaking.
One of the key takeaways from this trip was the importance of having days at sea. With so much to explore on the Celebrity Reflection, from diverse restaurants to world-class entertainment, those relaxing days were just as memorable as exploring new cruise destinations.
